KELLY KEELING To Sing On Italy's MOONSTONE Project
June 6, 2004Powerhouse rock vocalist and former Atlantic recording artist Kelly Keeling (BATON ROUGE, BLUE MURDER, MSG, JOHN NORUM) will sing on the track "Slave Of Time" from MOONSTONE, a "straight rocker with a southern feel" that is set to appear on the new project of Italian guitarist Matteo Filippini. In addition, Glenn Hughes (ex-DEEP PURPLE, BLACK SABBATH) has agreed to lend his vocals to the track "Where Did You Hide The Blues You've Got", a "bluesy and emotional" song which also features DEEP PURPLE's Ian Paice on drums.
The musical direction of MOONSTONE is being described as "genuine British-oriented '70s classic rock," not a million miles removed from the likes of FREE, JIMI HENDRIX and DEEP PURPLE. Among the other musicians set to contribute to the project are Graham Bonnet (RAINBOW, MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, ALCATRAZZ, IMPELLITTERI, BLACKTHORNE),John Lawton (ex-URIAH HEEP) and Tony Franklin (ex-BLUE MURDER, WHITESNAKE).
